The MARLISPACE 2026 conference was jointly organized by Nha Trang University and Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences (Germany), taking place from March 6 to March 8, 2026, in Nha Trang City. The event attracted nearly 150 participants, including around 40 international delegates from various countries.
The conference aimed to create an academic platform where scientists, policymakers, businesses, and environmental organizations could share research findings and discuss innovative solutions for marine litter prevention while promoting circular economy models.
Discussions focused on four main topics: marine plastic pollution and recycling policies; sustainable technical solutions in fisheries and aquaculture; circular economy models for marine waste recycling; and broader issues related to plastics, environmental protection, and social responsibility.
