When you choose the rope supplier, you should note some details:
The materials could be polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, nylon, aramid, HMPE, UHMWPE, cotton, wire, or other materials.
The normal structure would be 3-strand, 4-strand, 6-strand, 8-strand, 12-strand, 16-strand, double braided, diamond braided, solid braided, etc.
The normal color would be white, or black. if you need a special color, you could provide the photos, RGB number, or Pantone number. However, most of them have the MOQ, so you should have a check in advance.
If you want to mix color, I think there is also no problem in production. Some clients identify the quality by the special color of the rope, I think most of the suppliers could meet your requirements.
You should tell them the diameter, this is very important, especially if the diameter is very big. The rope-making machines are all different, so not all rope suppliers could produce the big size.
As usual, the rope will be packed by coil, the normal length would be 220m. If you have special requirements, you should have a check with them in advance.
If you don’t know the details of the specification, you could tell them your requirements in strength, such as MBL(minimum breaking load), safety factor, working load limit, etc.
If you are not clear about all the information about rope, you could tell them the application and working situation, and they also could give your solution or proposal to choose from. Even if you know the specifications, if you provide more information, I think the rope would be closer to what you want.
If the rope you want is normal, you could ask them for the samples to check. You could check the quality by appearance. If your rope is customized or special design, you could talk with them to make samples to test. If the sample test is OK, you could also ask them to have a test for the bulk products in the production and show the test report.
You could choose 3 options and contact them to ask for the price as your requirements. After that, you could ask for the samples to check, and you can have an estimation both in price and quality. The first time is difficult for both of you, you should consider all the details and factors, then choose the best one in your mind.
