Established in 2013, in the port of Rotterdam, TEHO Ropes Europe is a full range supplier of synthetic mooring ropes, steel wire ropes and mooring equipment. Mainly servicing customers active in Maritime, Industry and Oil & Gas, TEHO Ropes Europe has gained a leading position within the EMEA, Africa and India region by offering a complete range of quality mooring equipment from stock enforced with class certification, short delivery times and unequalled customer service.
Driven by the take-over of a local rigging shop named LIHA B.V. in 2015, TEHO Ropes Europe managed to expand its steel and crane wire production to meet the growing demand for customized steel wire supply. The merger with LIHA added new onshore/offshore services to the TEHO portfolio compromising the testing, inspection and (re)certification of lifting/mooring equipment, installation of steel wire/synthetic ropes, gangway and winch break testing.

When you choose the rope supplier, you should note some details:
The materials could be polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, nylon, aramid, HMPE, UHMWPE, cotton, wire or other materials.
The normal structure would be 3-strand, 4-strand, 6-strand, 8-strand, 12-strand, 16-strand, double braided, diamond braided, solid braided, etc.
The normal color would be white, black. if you need special color, you could provide the photos ,RGB number or pantone number. However, most of them have the MOQ, so you should have a check in advance.
If you want to mixed color, I think there is also no problem in production. Some clients identify the quality by the special color of the rope, I think most of supplier could meet your requirements.
You should tell them the diameter, this is very important, especially the diameter is very big. The rope making machines are all different, so not all rope supplier could produce the big size.
As usual, the rope will be packed by coil, the normal length would be 220m. if you have special requirement, you should have a check with them in advance.
If you don’t know the details of specification, you could tell them your requirements in strength, such as MBL(minimum breaking load), safety factor, working load limit, etc.
If you are not clear about all the information of rope, you could tell them the application and working situation, they also could give your solution or proposal to choose. Even you know the specifications, if you provide more information, I thin the rope would be closer to what you want.
If the rope you want is normal rope, you could ask them for the samples to check. You could check the quality by appearance. If your rope is customized or special design, you could have a talk with them to make a samples to test. If the sample test is OK, you could also ask them to have a test for the bulk products in the production and show the test report.
You could choose 3 options and contact with them to ask for price as your requirements. After that, you could ask for the samples to check, and you can have an estimation both in price and quality. The first time is difficult for both of you, you should consider all the details and factors, then choose the best one in your mind.
If you get to this step, I think you have the final decision to choose the rope supplier. You should tell them the specifications and quantity. Then they will give you the price, shipping details, freight cost, payment term, and delivery time. You can confirm these details in the proforma invoice.
